Practice Shooting

A 4-H Certified Rifle Trainer and NRA Appointed Rifle Coach, with 7 years experience as County-Wide Shooting Sports Project Leader. Youth Shooting Sports Coordinator for the El Dorado Rod & Gun Club.
Dates
We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month, October through June
Time
1:30-5:30 pm. There is a mandatory orientation for first-time shooters from 12:30 -1:30.
Place:
El Dorado Rod & Gun Club, 5941 Union Mine Road (past the old dump), 3 miles south of El Dorado. Facilities are covered (in case of rain or sun). For map to range: Click Here.
Equipment needed:
Bring your .22 rifle, at least 2 boxes of ammo, ear & eye protection, and a towel or blanket to pad the shooting bench. Dress for the weather and bring food and drink! If you don't have a .22, we have some for loan and ammo for $1/box.
Age:
4-H mandates participants must be 9 years old. (The El Dorado Rod & Gun Club has other programs for younger children if you feel comfortable with it: www.eldoradorodandgun.com/youth.htm)
Parental Supervision:
Each child must be accompanied by a parent or qualified guardian
Fees:
Free to 4-H members. $2.00 for walk-ins and parents (who want to shoot.)
